Hello! I’m Desirée, but everyone calls me Desi.
I’m from Mexico and have been an insatiable traveler for as long as I can remember. My first solo trip was at just nine years old, and ever since, my curiosity and love for exploring the world have only grown stronger.
I created Viajeras de Luz after a life-changing experience in India. As women, we’re drawn to unique and extraordinary places, but some destinations can feel overwhelming to navigate alone. That doesn’t mean we should miss out on their beauty and magic—it’s exactly why I started designing journeys that allow us to explore these incredible places with the support and camaraderie of like-minded women.
Every trip with Viajeras de Luz is crafted to reflect my personal travel style, from the accommodations I choose to the connections I seek and the adventures that inspire a sense of wonder.
I’m an artist, entrepreneur, health coach, and certified yoga and reiki teacher. Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do, and I approach life’s challenges with courage, gratitude, and an open mind. With over 20 years of experience as an art teacher and a deep passion for travel, I’ve personally explored every destination, hotel, meal, and activity we offer at Viajeras de Luz, ensuring each journey is thoughtfully curated and truly special.
I have a gift for connecting with people in a way that feels genuine and effortless. I believe that sensitivity is a strength, energy is contagious, and intuition is a powerful guide. With these values at the core, I’ve created an environment where every traveler feels seen, heard, and supported.
